When an email from Vancouver lit up our morning meeting screens, a thrilling design challenge began—turning three letters into a tiny metal masterpiece. The client envisioned custom the letters "YDL" on the head of a safety pin—a seemingly simple request that, in reality, demanded both precise typography and practical aesthetics.

Creative Sparks: The Geometry Dance

In a brainstorming session infused with the rich aroma of coffee, our design team explored various arrangements. Stacking the letters vertically risked losing clarity, while a horizontal alignment appeared too cramped. The breakthrough came on the fifth design iteration—a stunning 15° slanted offset arrangement that allowed each letter to maintain its unique identity while forming a seamless and elegant visual flow within the optimal 0.8cm layout.
